VIDEO PROPOSAL.
Presented for
Mothers Against Muggings
HELLO.
Thank you for taking the time to meet and share what you've built. Reaching over 20,000 kids across Richmond Borough over six years, entirely off your own backs, is genuinely impressive — and it's clear the programme works.
Street crime among young people is a growing concern across the UK, and what Mothers Against Muggings does is address it directly, honestly and in a way that young people actually respond to. The demand from other boroughs speaks for itself — this programme is needed, and it deserves a wider audience.
Video is how you get there. Young people consume it constantly and trust it instinctively as a way of receiving information. A well-produced film of you both presenting your programme doesn't just replicate the live experience — it makes it available to every school in the country, consistently and on demand.
OBJECTIVES.
Digitalise the existing assembly programme so it can be delivered to schools nationwide without you being present in person
Produce two versions — primary and secondary — that reflect the different tone and content each age group needs
Capture the authentic energy of the two presenters, not a scripted or polished-down version of it
Create content that feels nationally relevant, not London-specific, so no school anywhere feels talked at from the capital
Generate social media content that reaches young people directly and gives schools a reason to bring the programme in
APPROACH.
Rather than filming at a live assembly — which creates real challenges with sound and unpredictable conditions — we'll set up a clean professional backdrop and film both presentations in a single day. The beauty of a backdrop is that we can set up virtually anywhere: a spare room, a council office, wherever works for you. It keeps things simple and cost-effective, and gives us a clean canvas to work with in the edit. It also means the content won't date quickly — no location, no era, nothing to tie it to a specific moment in time. You'll be able to repurpose it, refresh it and keep using it for years..
The dynamic between you, the way you speak to kids directly and honestly, is exactly what schools have responded to. That's what we're here to capture, and that's what we'll protect throughout the process. We'll film you presenting naturally, just as you would in a school. If you stumble or want to go again, we just go again. That's what editing is for.
Once we have the footage, we'll edit it into a clean, structured programme built around your five pillars — Eyes Up, Ears Open, Hands, Feet, Mouth. Each pillar becomes its own clearly defined segment, which means schools can either show the full assembly in one go or dip into individual sections if they need to. It also makes the content far easier to repurpose.
Any supporting visuals — locations, scenarios, props — will be cut in during the edit using stock footage or graphics that feel relevant anywhere in the UK, not just London. A bus stop could be Manchester. A park could be the coast. The message is national, and the visuals will reflect that.
Those same five pillar segments become your social media content. Each one can be trimmed down to a short, punchy clip — around 30 seconds — that works on Instagram, TikTok or wherever you want to reach young people. So one shoot day gives you the full assembly programme and a ready-to-go bank of social content at the same time.
If you've never been filmed before, don't worry — most people haven't. We'll guide you through everything on the day, from how to stand and where to look, to what to wear and how to pace yourself. There's no pressure to get anything perfect first time. Our job is to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera so that what comes out is the best version of what you already do brilliantly in person.
REFERENCE.
We produced this project for PCYC in Canberra as part of their Behind the Wheel safe driving awareness programme — a government-funded campaign delivered across schools throughout the ACT. The brief was closely comparable to yours.
The programme featured multiple spokespeople — nurses, paramedics, driving instructors, police officers and people with direct personal experience of the consequences of dangerous driving. With so many presenters and so many schools, it wasn't practical for everyone to attend every session, so we filmed each presentation individually. Each runs to around 15 minutes in full.
This video is an edited highlights reel, condensing all the presentations into a few minutes to give an overview of the programme and the people behind it. It's a good example of how filmed content can carry the weight of a live programme — and how the right spokespeople, captured authentically on camera, can be just as powerful as being in the room.
