VIDEO PROPOSAL.

Presented for
Halo Technology Lab

HELLO.

We’re excited to work with you on a brand film for Halo Technology Lab, one that really shows who you are, how you work, and what makes Halo different. The aim is to make you and your company feel approachable and human in a field that can sometimes seem cold, complicated, or intimidating.

We want the video to feel warm and engaging, without being too serious or overly corporate. By combining moments from your everyday work life with professional storytelling, we’ll create a piece that people remember for how it made them feel, not just what was said.

We want to take your brand to the next level.

OVERVIEW.

Our goal is to create a professional brand film that helps your clients understand Halo Technology Lab’s unique approach to AI. You’re a family-run business with a warm, human approach, blending creativity and engineering expertise across a range of industries. We want to show how you make complex technology approachable and useful, while keeping the focus on the people behind the work.

Instead of relying on stock footage of servers or skyscrapers, the film will include real-life moments that ground the story and bring you and your company to life. This could be you prototyping ideas, reviewing work with a client, R&D, or discussing a project over coffee with your brother. These moments help humanise the message and give viewers a sense of how you think and approach projects, which builds trust and helps people connect with Halo on a more personal level.

The overall tone will be clear, confident, and modern, while remaining warm, approachable, and engaging. By highlighting your person-first philosophy, the video will communicate not just what Halo does, but how you bring creativity, humanity, and trust to complex AI projects.

OBJECTIVES.

  1. Showcase Halo Technology Lab as approachable, human, and trustworthy in the AI space

  2. Communicate your combination of creativity, engineering expertise, and broad industry experience

  3. Bring personality to the video through real-life, everyday moments - collaborating with your brother, working with clients, exploring ideas

  4. Make complex AI concepts feel accessible and understandable

  5. Highlight the person-first philosophy and ethos that sets Halo apart

  6. Engage viewers emotionally, leaving them with a feeling of trust, not just information

  7. Make the video feel alive and engaging - avoid stock footage, skyscrapers, servers, cold corporate cliches

APPROACH.

The idea is to create a film that feels modern and warm and properly grounded in who you and your brother are. Halo Technology Lab does clever technical work, but the thing that will actually make your audience care is the human aspect behind it. The film should blend the tech with your story, the way you think, how you approach your work, and what makes working with your company unique.

We’ll film the interviews somewhere that feels inviting. For example, a nicely curated lounge or workspace with a sofa, soft light, a few plants or books, and subtle personal touches. The idea is to make the environment feel authentic, not cold. We can film individual interviews as well as moments of the two of you together, so we capture your shared history and the way you bounce off one another in conversation.

We’ll intercut interviews with b-roll of you working: collaborating on projects, engaging with clients (in their office or on zoom), prototyping, demonstrating technology in action, and capturing creative and technical processes.

To bring in a bit more of you as people, we can film a handful of simple real life moments. Maybe you walking through a bit of your neighbourhood that you love or a place where you tend to get ideas. We’ll also subtly weave in past photos, perhaps shots of workshops or talks you’ve attended, this gives audiences a sense of your wider role in the industry and subtly supports your credibility.

We’ll also show a run of digital overlays throughout the video. As you talk about different projects, we can layer in images of AI outputs, screens showing mapping tools, training dashboards, or the early stages of a build. The aim is that viewers see the work happening while you speak, so it feels modern and alive, not something abstract.

We’ll let the camera move between steady shots and slightly looser handheld work, enough to keep things flowing and to soften the edges so the story feels more personal.

For the story itself, we can guide it through a simple arc. Where you began, what you believe, how you approach the work now, and what Halo is moving towards. We do not need to lock the structure yet. We will have a proper conversation with you first, ask the right questions, and shape the interview prompts so we can draw out the moments that feel honest and interesting.

The final piece should feel warm and human, as well as confident and contemporary. Something that shows the craft and the design thinking behind Halo, but also the people at the heart of it. The thing people really remember is how a film makes them feel, and this one should leave them thinking Halo is not just clever but also genuinely approachable and thoughtful.

REFERENCE.

Instrument Brand Video - The Instrument video works because it puts people first. You see the team and their interactions, casual behind-the-scenes moments, and their work all woven together, which makes it feel real and approachable. The visuals are clean and modern, the music is warm and easy going, and graphics are used to support the story without overwhelming it. For Halo we can take the same approach, focus on you and your brother, show your projects in a clear engaging way, and include small personal touches that make the business feel human and trustworthy.
